A popular bar in Saratoga is not only changing owners but it’s changing what it is. If you’ve been looking for a new night club in Saratoga, you don’t have to wait much longer.
After 2.5 years, the Sinclair Saratoga (17 Maple Ave) has been sold to Matt Pedersen who’ll be overseeing the new club, The Night Owl. The Sinclair will stay open through the rest of the summer with the changeover happening over Labor Day weekend.
Pedersen said about the new venture, “I am excited to bring something a little more refined to the nightlife scene here in Saratoga…We have so many great and diverse restaurants here and very little variety in late-night drinking and dancing options. When Hilary Morrison, the owner of the Sinclair Saratoga, and I started talking, I knew this was my opportunity. “
The Night Owl will be featuring unique cocktails with a large number on-tap utilizing bitters, syrups, and other ingredients from in-house. The decor will be remenscent of Old Hollywood from the 1920s and 1930s with images from legendary nightclubs like Studio 54 and Limelight. They will also be bringing in guest DJ’s from New York City to perform nightly.
In the back is a soon-to-be local secret. The “back room”will be found behind a hidden bookcase and will be more like a cocktail lounge and even a hidden photo booth. On weekends, you’ll be able to see contortionists, burlesque dancers, sword swallowers and more!
The Night Owl will be open Thursday-Saturday 7:00pm-4:00am. Late night happy hour will be 7:00pm-10:00pm with $7 craft cocktails, $5 well drinks, and select beers for $2.
