It’s one thing to be a celebrity, it’s another to use that celebrity for something amazing. Say what you want about the New England Patriots but Rob Gronkowski is a class act.
I know I usually write about things to do and see in the area but every so often, there’s a really great story that really is a “Sight” I want to share. I saw it first on the Times Union, where 11-year-old John Hoague-Rivette has been battling a brain tumor. Hoague-Rivette had reached out to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and because of them, he got to meet one of his favorite football players Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots.
Hoague-Rivette’s father is both a police officer and a correction officer and a fundraiser is currently being run by the PBANYS Family Assistance Fund. You can find more information on John, his family, as well as fundraisers that have been set-up in his honor through WNYT News Channel 13.
The Patriots even took a second to tweet the meeting! My prayers are with John and his family to keep fighting and hopefully, this little push will help him!
John is an 11-year-old #Patriots fan fighting brain cancer in Albany, NY.
