You loved the food at the original Saratoga Druthers, now, you can taste what else Mike and Michelle Spain have up their sleeves.
Mike and Michelle Spain will open the restaurant Seneca on 17 Division Street in Saratoga. The Times Union is reporting that the new restaurant will focus on food cooked with a wood grill and wood-fired oven. Seneca is a name that Mike’s mother considered if she had a second daughter, which is an interesting reason for a name choice.
After about six months of renovations, the old insurance company is almost ready to open to customers. Their hope is to be open September 24th.
Their menu will focus on featuring local produce and the cooking will be done over the wood grill. They will also have wine taps, 4 red and 4 white, 4 beer taps, and a selection of spirits as well. According to the Times Union, they’ll be open Wednesday to Sunday starting at 5:00pm.
