Troy’s River Street Market Welcomes First Businesses
Troy is expanding yet again and has opened a market building that has already welcomed some familiar businesses.
Earlier this year, the Times Union reported that the Hadley Building in Downtown Troy would soon be converted into the new River Street Market. The market would eventually be home to 10 vendors and a wine bar once opened on May 1st.
We already know the first vendor in place is Sweet Sue’s Copper Pot. Sweet Sue’s is an offshoot of The Copper Pot cafe and it officially opened June 24th. According to the Times Union, Sweet Sue’s “offers a build-your-own-box meal with base options of spring mix, slaw and noodles, or naan, and a variety of proteins, toppings and sauces, for $6 per half order, $9 full.”
Also coming to the space is Luka’s (a wine and charcuterie bar owned by the same people who own Hooked in Galleria 7 in Latham), Papa’s Best Batch (a BBQ food truck best known in Red Hook), Stacks Espresso Bar’s third location, Prime Burger and Shakehouse and Hatch Test Kitchen (both from Mazzone Hospitality). More about the vendors can be found on their official website.
