Altamont Winery Opens Tasting Room
Like winery, ciders and want a new place to check out? Meadowdale Winery, located at Black Creek Farm in Altamont, will open a tasting room very soon!
Meadowdale Winery will be hosting their grand opening this Saturday, June 22nd at 32 Fryer Lane in Altamont at 12:30pm At the event, the owners will introduce some new red wines including corot noir, their Curious Cardinal, and an oak-aged marquette.
The winery, founded in 2016, according to the Times Union, is an ultra-low-carbon, zero-waste winery that runs on “renewable, emissions-free solar and geothermal energy.” On top of that, any waste is composted on the farm.
The tasting room is located inside a 1730s Dutch bar and at first, will be open on the weekends in the afternoon, but soon will have regular hours and days which you can find updated on their voicemail 518-861-3610.
Meadowdale Winery will also be featured at the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival in Queensbury on June 29th-30th, 2019. Tickets on sale now.
