You probably already heard that Lucky Strike in Crossgates Mall will be closing but no worries, there’s a plan in place for what’s replacing it.
Lucky Strike Social opened inside of Crossgates Mall in 2016. I had the opportunity to give it a look before it opened and so much has changed. They offered parties (which I had a chance to experience), bowling, arcades, a restaurant, and a bar. Since then, the arcade changed, the restaurant menu got smaller, but it was still a great place to spend time when at the mall.
Now, Lucky Strike Social may be closing, but the Times Union is reporting that they already have an idea what’s replacing it. Lucky Strike announced that it will be closing June 16th to already start construction. Crossgates Mall announced that Massachusetts-based company Apex Entertainment will be leasing the space.
Apex said that they hope to reopen the space in October, keeping the bowling lanes. No word yet if concerts already planned for Jupiter Hall will go on as scheduled. They haven’t commented on what else may be in the space but other locations have included bumper cars, laser tag, and more.
