If you like bacon and don’t have plans this weekend, check out the grand opening of this bacon heaven.
You may recognize the name “For the Love of Bacon” from their previous location in Guilderland but now, according to the Times Union, they have a new home and it’s in Rotterdam.
If you’re unfamiliar with “For the Love of Bacon,” they are a bacon retail location that is affiliated with Mariaville Farm. They have been opened at 834 Duanesburg Road since last weekend but today they are celebrating their grand opening from 10:00am-5:00pm.
They will have all things bacon like jellies, snacks, condiments, and something that makes me quite interested – bacon soda. They’ll of course also have actual bacon as well as locally farm-raised cheeses, meats, eggs, and their famous mushrooms.
They’ll soon be open 6 days a week, closed on Sundays. It’s located directly across from Schalmont and has online ordering available!
