The Science & Wizardry of Harry Potter Coming to miSci
Schenectady is giving you and the family a chance to enter the world of Harry Potter and learn some science on the way too!
The Schenectady museum miSci has announced an event for Potterheads alike. According to their Facebook event, on Saturday, April 13th from 11:00am-4:00pm, you and the family can go to miSci and learn about the science behind the magic of Harry Potter.
The museum is describing the event as “an experience designed to engage and excite individuals of all ages and talent levels.”
Each participant that enters the museum will be given a Marauder’s Map. This map will guide you to all of the experiments and how/where you can learn all of the 13 spells and incantations to graduate. The pathway you choose will help determine where The Sorting Hat places you. You’ll also be able to either take your O.W.L.s (Ordinary Wizarding Levels) or N.E.W.Ts (Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Tests) to find your level of magical prowess.
Wizards ages 3-7 will be able to learn at the First Years’ table with experiments, coloring sheets, and connect-the-dots. Wizards of other ages who successfully complete 7 of 13 tasks will be honored as graduates from the miSci school of magic and transformation.
More details on their Facebook event:
Children (3-12) – $8.00
