How to Help Common Roots Brewing
You probably heard about the tragedy that happened at Common Roots Brewery in South Glens Falls last weekend. Well, breweries around the Capital Region are getting together to help.
Last weekend, Common Roots Brewing unexpectedly caught on fire completely destroying the tasting room and other parts of the facility. Well, businesses from all over the Capital Region have been doing what they can to help.
Artisanal Brew Works in Saratoga Springs hosted a brainstorm the night after the fire to get ideas together about what everyone can do to help. WYNT broke down a few ideas that included Common Roots developing a beer that would be sold at various Capital Region businesses, a fundraiser held at SingleCut in Clifton Park, and more.
Some businesses have taken it upon themselves to host fundraisers for Common Roots. Sunday, April 7th the Queensbury Hotel will be hosting Rally for the Roots North and Friday, April 12th at Takk House in Troy will be hosting Rally for the Roots South. Each event is $25 each or $45 for tickets to both events, $10 for a DD. You can look for updates on the Friends of Common Roots Facebook page. A GoFundMe has also been started to raise money.
This Wednesday, April 3rd, Frog Alley Brewing in Schenectady will also be hosting a fundraiser. From 4:00-8:00pm, they will have a $6 pint special where $1 from each pint will go to Common Roots Brewing. They’re updating that through the Facebook event.
Clark’s Steakhouse in Schuylerville is also looking to do something to help, according to their Facebook page.
