Pinhead Susan’s, Schenectady Sold

You may not even have known it was for sale, but now it’s been sold.

I happened to see in the headline of Albany Business Review that Pinhead Susan’s in Schenectady has been sold. You may not even have known the building and business were for sale in the first place. The longtime owner of Pinhead’s has decided to retire but hoped it stayed a restaurant and still felt “Schenectady.”

Now, the Albany Business Review makes you buy a subscription to their stories that I do not have. What I can gather from the brief preview is that Pinhead Susan’s has been sold, they will be calling it Pinhead’s Pub and Lounge according to the Times Union, and many of their traditions, like St. Patrick’s Day, will stay.

If you take a look at their Facebook page, though, it wouldn’t feel like a business closing or becoming something completely different. As of a few weeks ago, they were hiring. My guess is that the new owners may be keep everything the same in terms of staff and general theme and the changes made may not even be noticable. I’ll keep you updated if I find out anything more.
