Though not her first appearance on the Food Network, I’m always excited seeing someone local on national television.
Congratulations to Aneesa Waheed of Tara Kitchen who will be appearing on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” next week. In the show, two chefs chosen by the judges go up against each other for a chance to beat Bobby Flay at a dish of their choosing. Waheed’s episode is set to air March 21 at 10:00pm with the judges Iron Chef Jose Garces and “Worst Cooks in America” host Anne Burrell, according to the Daily Gazette.
We last saw Waheed on the Food Network competing in the show “Guy’s Grocery Games,” which I compare to a Food Network twist on “Supermarket Sweep.” Waheed filmed her appearance on “Beat Bobby Flay” last spring in Brooklyn and finally we’ll be able to see it air nationally.
Waheed is the owner of the Moccorran restaurant Tara Kitchen in Downtown Schenectady and a second location in Troy as well as sauces sold throughout the Capital Region in grocery stores.
