The City Squire in Schenectady has had quite a few changes and they’ve just announced another- new management.

The City Squire has had its spot on Upper Union Street for over 40 years. About 11 months ago, though, the new City Squire opened in the same space after a complete renovation. At the original opening of the revamped City Squire, it was a partnership between the Lecce Group and the proprietors of Anna’s Woodfired Pizza in Latham’s Galleria 7 Market, Mario’s in Niskayuna and Prime Pizza in Schenectady.

According to the Times Union, what was known as the City Squire Ale House Kitchen & Bar will now be known simply as City Squire and have new management. Mike and Stephanie Martini, the husband-and-wife owners of Mohawk Taproom & Grill in Scotia, will be be taking over as managers of City Squire.

The Martinis took over the City Squire over two weeks ago. They will be tweaking the food and beverages on the menu and will edit the draft list at the beginning of April. The Lecce Group will continute to be the sole owners of the business and building.
