They filmed the first film here so with the announcement of sequel details, looks like we should expect them back.

“A Quiet Place” was filmed in 2017 starring John Krasinski as well as his wife Emily Blunt. They filmed most of the film in Upstate New York with scenes in Little Falls (near Utica), Pawling, New Paltz and Beacon, according to New York Upstate.

Krasinski is expected back as writer and director and Blunt as lead actress. No word yet on when they’ll be expected but Krasinski announced on his Instagram page that “A Quiet Place 2” will be released in May 2020.

Production Weekly said that the sequel will be filming in Upstate New York like the first movie. Specific locations for filming haven’t been announced but they are expecting to begin production in July. There is still opportunity for opening casting calls but no news has been announced yet. Also, the cast from the first movie was rather small so they may be following suit with the sequel.
