Spa Mirbeau Perfect Valentine’s Day Gift [PHOTOS]

Valentine’s Day is only a few days away and if you haven’t found the perfect gift for your sweetheart, let me recommend something to you.

On Sunday, after a rough week last week, I spent some time at Spa Mirbeauin Crossgates Mall. First and foremost, the fact that this incredibly relaxing spa is inside a mall doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Somehow they have found a way to make the spa incredibly convenient and make you completely forget how close you are to Macy’s.

I went to the spa on a day pass ($45 for weekday, $65 for weekend). With that pass, you get access to everything but specialty services like massages, facials, which have to be scheduled separately. You have access to workout classes, the workout space, a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, resting area, and aqua terrace.

You start out by getting a robe, sandals, and putting your things in a self-coded locker. Honestly, you don’t have to think of anything. The space is surrounded by drinking water, teas, fruit, and even in the women’s locker room there are razors, shampoo, conditioner, hairties, hair dryers, etc.

Even without spending extra money on the treatments, you get quite an experience by just utilizing what comes with the day pass. The resting area is one of my favorite places to be ever. You can just relax or even take a nap! Another favorite of mine is lunch on the aqua terrace.

The menu is full of fresh, healthy ingredients. I decided to order the “French Country Picnic ($13).” According to the menu, it had arcadian greens, seasonal vegetables, farm fresh egg, chicken pesto salad, fruit, brie, toasted croissant, and sherry vinaigrette. My salad was missing seasonal vegetables as well as the brie but overall, I still really enjoyed it. It was a great size for the price as well! I also ordered the beer battered artichoke skewers ($6) that were served with a siracha creme which was fantastic. I paired those with a Sunrise Mimosa (about $9) and then, a Lavender Gin Fizz ($12).

It all sounds perfect for Valentine’s Day, right? Either spend the day relaxing with your significant other or send them there with some friends. Though gift cards are always an option, there are some specials for the holiday. They offer a special couples massage which includes body oil as well as a glass of champagne ($240-270). Read more on their website. This is the perfect gift for pampering or to spend quality time together. There’s still time!

Note: Though I was not compensated for my thoughts and it is my honest opinion. I was given the experience in order to post a review.
