Local Family Halloween Activities [LIST]

Local bars are really good at advertising their Halloween parties but if you’re looking for something to do as a family, here are some ideas that are a little more kid-friendly where the whole family can have some fun!

The Daily Gazette put together a great list of things you can do with your family or even you and some friends that doesn’t involve going out to a bar and drinking, if that’s not your thing.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28TH

  • GREENWICH – the Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Halloween Parade starts on the corner of Washington and Main St/ 1:00pm-3:00pm
  • COOPERSTOWN – the Cooperstown Art Association will be holding Pumpkin Glow/ 6:00pm-7:00pm
  • BALLSTON SPA – Double M Haunted Hayride/ starting at 7:00pm for $27
  • TROY – Field of Horrors/ starting at 6:00pm for $27
  • SARATOGA – Howlin’ at the Moon Bash/ 4:00pm-8:00pm
  • ALBANY -The Linda is hosting The Rocky Horror Picture Show/ 2:00pm for $10

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 30TH

  • SCHENECTADY – Proctors Theatre will be showing the original Frankenstein/ 2:00pm and 7:00pm for $15

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31ST

  • SCHENECTADY – the Schenectady Fire Department at Stations 1-4 will hand out candy, books, and fire safety information/ 2:00pm-8:00pm
  • ALBANY – various stores within Crossgates Mall will be participating in safe trick-or-treating for Mall-O-Ween / 3:00pm-6:00pm
  • COLONIE – Colonie Center is holding their Trunk-or-Treat event/ 3:00pm-8:00pm
  • SARATOGA – the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will be reading “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and offering Halloween-themed crafts/ 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • WARRENSBURG – the annual Halloween parade/ 4:00pm-5:00pm
