Take the Adirondack Beer & Wine Train This Fall

This is the best time of year to live in Upstate New York! Apple cider everywhere, pumpkin picking, and the leaves changing colors. If you’re looking for a great way to spend a fall afternoon, take a look at this train ride.

The Adirondack Scenic Railroad has a bunch of train rides throughout the year but their upcoming trip is the Beer & Wine train, according to Only In Your State. They offer the train twice a year but one date has already passed (October 12) but you still have one chance to take the trip (October 26th).

The train leaves from Utica’s Boehlert Transportation Center at 6:30pm, travels to Remsen Depot, stops for 30 mins, then turns around and comes back. Though beverages aren’t included in the price, there is a great selection to choose from while you’re staring at the beautiful scenery. You can also be a first class passenger and enjoy some hors d’oeuvrs and a table to sit at. Worried about getting home safely? You can bring a DD on board for $10 with offers free soda, water, and snacks.
