I had mentioned a week or so ago that we had a local contestant auditioning for “The Voice” this season. We had to wait for the second week of Blind Auditions but now we have an update on where she goes from here.
On Monday, we finally got to see our local, Queensbury resident perform for the Blind Auditions on “The Voice” in front of judges Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, and Blake Shelton. She decided to sing “In My Blood” by the pop singer Shawn Mendes. If you’re unfamiliar with how the Blind Auditions work, this is when judges have their backs to the performers and push a button if they wish to have the singer on their team. It didn’t take far into Silvernell’s song for *SPOILER* Kelly Clarkson to hit her button and turn around. None of the other judges ended up turning around (a decision I’m sure they’ll regret as the show goes on) so we will be seeing Silvernell on #TeamKelly this season. We’re still in the Blind Auditions phase of the show so she won’t be back on for a little while but I can’t wait to follow her journey. If you want to know the next time you can see her on TV, keep an eye on her Facebook page!
