If you visit Six Flags Great Escape often, they have two new contests they announced for the Fright Fest season that may be worth it, if you survive!
The first announcement I saw from Great Escape specifically was from WNYT when they announced their cockroach contest. The contest will be held October 6-8 at the theme park in Queensbury. A group of people will be selected to eat live Madagascar hissing cockroaches and whoever can eat it the fastest will win a four-pack of 2019 season passes. Would you do it?
If that’s not your thing, there’s another way to win passes. After the success of the Six Flags St. Louis announcement, Six Flags has expanded their coffin contest to all locations, including the Great Escape. Now, you can enter the Fight Fest 30-Hour Coffin Challenge locally. Six people will be chosen to stay in a coffin for 30-hours from 1:00PM on Saturday, October 13 until 7:00PM on Sunday, October 1. You can provide your own pillow and blankets, they will provide meals, they will also provide one six-minute bathroom break every hour, and phone charging stations. If you’re the last person standing, you win $300 cash, two 2019 Gold season passes, and a Fright Fest prize pack with two VIP Haunted House passes. If more than one person makes it, a random drawing will select the $300 winner. It really puts into question either how much do you want season passes or how much have you wanted to eat cockroaches and sleep in a coffin?
