New York Haunted Capitol Tours Change Schedule

It’s been on my Capital Region bucket list for a few years and now that they’re changing their schedule a little bit, I may have more chances to go. Have you toured the haunted Capitol building yet?

The annual Capitol Hauntings tours have decided to change their schedule this year but it’s only going to help. CBS6 is reporting that they will be starting their tours early this year. The state is starting to take reservations as early as this past Monday, September 17th and will continue through November 2nd.

The Capitol Hauntings tours are free and feature legends and folklore about the building and its history. For example, CBS6 cited a story about a night watchman who died in the 1911 fire in the Capitol and apparently still makes his rounds in the building. The Office of General Services says that pre-registration is required and can be done through their website. Groups 10 or more, can register by calling 518-474-2418.
