Help Couple Open Coffee Bar in Scotia!

EDIT: Storied was successful and is currently open in Scotia

A local couple is hoping to open a business ala Stacks Espresso Bar in Albany and Superior Merchandise in Troy but in Scotia, they just need your help.

Christine and Rich Sarnacki are hoping to turn the old bakery on 109 Mohawk Ave, Scotia into Storied Coffee, according to the Times Union. They’re hoping to offer kombucha, bubble tea, espresso drinks, hot and cold coffee, tea, and more! My favorite part of the idea behind Storied Coffee is that they’re hoping to keep a good amount of their products local. They mentioned carrying products like Kru Coffee from Saratoga Springs, Yesfolk Tonics from Troy, Short and Stout Tea from Guilderland and Cider Belly Donuts from Albany.

The couple has invested $20,000 themselves but estimates needing $20,000-$30,000 to get the shop open. Their hope is to open in October, but until then, they have started a Kickstarter.
