Eat Drink Saratoga Review [PHOTOS]
You probably remember that I wrote about how excited for the first ever Eat Drink Saratoga event, right? Well, I went and I already can’t wait for next year!
The weather may have been hot but it was worth it for all of the great food and beverage options to choose from! ICYMI Eat Drink Saratoga was created to showcase Saratoga’s great restaurants that can be found right in the heart of downtown. Proceeds from the event went to Saratoga County Children’s Committee dedicated to meeting year-round emergency and basic needs of underprivileged children throughout Saratoga County.
There were so many restaurants to choose from, I wish I could’ve had the chance to eat something from each of them. Each restaurant had a $5 option as well as a $10 option. The restaurants featured were Fish at 30 Lake, Prime at Saratoga National, The Blue Hen, Boca Bistro, The Brook Tavern, Comfort Kitchen, Druthers, Hamlet & Ghost, Hattie’s, Henry Street Taproom, The Mouzon House, Salt & Char, Sperry’s Restaurant and 2 West Bar & Grille. You can see what each restaurant offered HERE.
I stopped at Druthers, Fish at 30 Lake and The Brook Tavern. My Mom got the serving of Druthers’ Mac & Cheese which is always outta this world and then I got oysters and Ahi Tuna Nachos (both all-time favorites of mine) as well as some ribs from The Brook Tavern because those are the best ribs I’ve ever had, hands down.
There were also unlimited samples of some great distilleries, breweries, and wineries. To name a few of the more local places, there was Albany Distilling Co (their Fort Orange vodka is fantastic), Lake George Distilling Co, Springbrook Distillery, Upstate Distilling, Adirondack Brewery, Brown’s Brewing, Chatham Brewing, Druthers Brewing, Ommegang, Fort Orange Brewing, Citizen Cider, Nine Pin, Lionstone Wines, Old Tavern Farm Winery, Galway Rock Winery/Saratoga Sparking Co. as well as a few non-alcoholic options.
I had a great time trying a bunch of new beverages and definitely followed some new whiskeys on Instagram. This event gave me the opportunity to try foods and beverages from a bunch of places I may not have otherwise tried. Keep an eye out here for next year’s dates, you’re not gonna wanna miss it.
NOTE: I was not paid for my review but I was given free entry so that I could write about the event.
