The Downtown Schenectady strip was slowly being revamped by Capoccia Winery, Slidin Dirty, and more but there was still one more piece on the corner of State and Lafayette – until now.
You may already be familiar with Bluebird Home Decor from their Troy location, but now, according to The Daily Gazette, owner Nicole Broughton decided to relocate to the Electric City. There’s no date set yet for the official opening but according to their website Bluebird expects to be open in Schenectady sometime this summer, closer to August.
Bluebird Home Decor is known for their vintage-style pieces with “an industrial farmhouse vibe.” Downtown Schenectady is lacking in the retail department and now hopefully with the success of this store, we’ll see some more local businesses continue with the ones that have recently opened. I can’t wait to see what they did to revamp the inside of that 1970s-style building. Below is an example of their style but you can see more on the Bluebird Instagram page.
