Eat Drink Saratoga Event Coming June 30th [PHOTOS]

I mentioned this in my last post, but you know how much I love events where I can eat from a ton of places at one location? There’s a new one coming to Saratoga on Saturday, June 30th. I got to preview some of the food and you might as well just buy your ticket now.

15 Saratoga Restaurants. 40 Breweries and Cideries. 20 Distilleries. 10 Wineries. And they’ll all be in one place: the Saratogian Lot on June 30th. The reason I started this blog was to appreciate the area I’m from, to point out some things you may have missed even if you’ve lived here your whole life. What I love about Eat Drink Saratoga is that is being put on by people who feel that same pride for Saratoga and can’t wait to share what they have to offer with you.

Hamlet & Ghost, paired with a Whiskey River

There are two sessions on that Saturday, 1:00pm-4:00pm and 5:00pm-8:00pm with a VIP session that starts at 12:00pm. General Admission is $60 and VIP tickets are $75 with proceeds going to Saratoga County Children’s Committee. Both come with a $10 food voucher with access to all beverages from a signature tasting glass.

The restaurants participating will be: Hamlet & Ghost, Comfort Kitchen, Fish at 30 Lake, The Blue Hen, Henry Street Taproom, Salt & Char, Druthers Brewing, Brook Tavern, Hattie’s Restaurant, Sperry’s Restaurant, Boca Bistro, The Mouzon House, 2 West Bar & Grille, and Prime at Saratoga National. Each restaurant will be featuring a $5 plate as well as a $10 larger plate and I got to sample three of them!

Hamlet & Ghost will be offering a delicious Mediterranean plate on the 30th. The $5 will be a bowl of delicious falafel made with soaked chickpeas and English peas & an avocado hummus. The $10 will be bigger, including those, plus a baba ganoush, lamb, a cucumber & tomato salad with parsley, scallions, mint & a vinaigrette. Note that if you’re a vegetarian, you can get the meal without lamb.

Prime at Saratoga National will be offering their signature pulled pork with various peppers on homemade chips as their $10 dish and a beet salad with pecans, goat cheese and a light dressing as their $5 dish (pictures in the slideshow below). Note that the $5 is a vegetarian option.

Brook Tavern will be offering pulled pork tacos with pickled vegetables as their $5 dish and a stack of ribs smoked in-house (for 3-4 hours) with three choices of sauce as their $10 plate. The three sauces are a house Carolina BBQ, a green tomatillo sauce, as well as a ketchup/molasses sauce. Note that if you have a gluten allergy, both corn and flour tortillas will be available and all sauces are gluten-free as well. If you’re a vegetarian, they will serve pickled vegetables in the taco if you’d like (pictures in the slideshow below).
