Saratoga Race Course to Host Job Fair
If you’re looking for a job for over the summer, there are not many places busier than the Saratoga Race Course so mark it off on your calendar because they’re hosting a job fair.
The New York Racing Association (NYRA) is hosting a job fair on Friday, June 15th and Saturday, June 16th for anyone who wants to work at the track this summer, according to News10. The job fair will be held Embassy Suites, 86 Congress Street from 9:00am-5:00pm. News10 says:
Opportunities are available for: bets squad, betting clerks, box office representatives, cashiers, chefs, cleaners, cooks, food service helpers and supervisors, general labor, giveaway helpers (part-time only), guest services, hosts/hostesses, mascots, parking attendants, porters and barbacks, prep cooks, retail clerks, security, turf work, utility workers, waitstaff, and whitecaps/ushers.
NYRA is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must be over 15-years-old with working papers unless you’re a security guard, cashier, and betting clerks who must be 18-years-old. Betting clerks must have cash handling experience, security guards must have a high school degree or GED, and all applicants must have a photo ID or social security card.
The meet this year runs from Friday, June 20th through Labor Day, September 3rd.
