We heard a while ago that Sears was out and a restaurant was in but that was about it. Slowly but surely construction was being done, signs were added, and finally we have a grand opening date.
The new BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse has announced that its grand opening will be on June 11th, according to the Times Union. The hours will be 11:00AM until midnight on Sundays and Thursdays and until 1:00AM on Fridays and Saturdays.
I was taking a look at the menu (BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse is a franchise) and the food looks pretty good. They offer what you would expect from an American pub restaurant. They have soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, tacos, pasta and more. What I’m most excited about though is the brewhouse part of BJ’s.
Their Wikipedia page shows that some locations house a microbrewery, which I’m assuming includes ours based on the name. Some of their house-made beers have won silver and gold medals are brewing competitions all over the world. That includes their BJ’s Hefelightzen being awarded a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival. I can’t wait for a new restaurant to open and a new group of beers to try.
