New Hotel & Restaurant Announced for Wolf Rd

If you’re in Colonie and looking for a place to eat or a place to tell your friends to stay, it’s hard to not include some places in Wolf Rd. Now, there are two more options to consider.

I saw on the Times Union that plans have been approved for a new Hyatt Hotel and Longhorn Steakhouse on the former Lazare auto dealership property. They’re hoping for the site work to be completed this summer, construction to begin this fall and full completion by next spring. Apparently, Longhorn Steakhouse had been looking for a place on Wolf Rd for the past four years and jumped at this opportunity when space became available. There’s also another restaurant space available not yet leased out.

If you’re not familiar with Longhorn Steakhouse, they obviously feature steak with a Western/Texan theme and headquartered in Orlando, Florida. According to Wikipedia, “in addition to steak, the menu also includes ribs, chicken, salmon, lobster, shrimp, and salads. appetizer include their “Texas Tonion” and “Wild West Shrimp”; and side dishes are also served. The restaurant offers a full bar with draft and bottled beer, wine, and several signature margaritas.”
