The DillyBean Has Grand Opening in Schenectady Friday

The words “natural foods” may scare you but you know what shouldn’t, the word “local” and if you’re looking for a one-stop shop for some really great local ingredients, you need to check out The DillyBean. Their grand opening is this Friday!

Started by a 23-year-old Schenectady entrepreneur, The DillyBean will hold its grand opening and ribbon cutting this Friday at 4:30pm!

According to the Times Union, Abigail Rockmacher worked in a local pickle company for about seven years before she opened The DillyBean. You may have walked past it on Jay St in Downtown Schenectady, it’s been open since January but finally celebrating their grand opening this Friday.

They have already announced via the Facebook event that Derrick Horton and the Jay St Band will be performing 12-4 on Saturday, there will be raffles and prizes all weekend, and they’re doing a food drive. Starting Wednesday (5/8) at 10AM, bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. You need to take a walk around the store and see all of the amazing local products you can find there: Evergreen Olive Oil, Saratoga Crackers, and for the rest, you’ll have to do and see for yourself.
