I asked on Facebook and Instagram the other day about favorite local breweries and this one is definitely at the top of the list. They’ve been available all over the place but only had one tasting room in Clifton Park, until now.

In case you haven’t heard, Shmaltz Brewing Company will be opening a tasting room in Troy and it’s plan is to open mid/late-May. The Times Union went into more detail about the upcoming tasting room and bottle shop in Monument Square replacing the Subway location.
Last I checked a few weekends ago, there was a bit of signage but nothing that seemed like it was opening anytime soon but this kind of stuff does move fast. They haven’t yet announced the name of this new tasting room but expect it to be open with a seven-day schedule in the summer into the nighttime and to utilize Troy’s growing Riverfront Market on Saturday mornings.
