I love a good castle. Maybe it’s the little girl inside wanting to be a princess or maybe most of the time they’re just so beautiful I have to see them but either way…castle in Amsterdam, who else wants to go?

The castle was once a National Guard Armory built back in the 1800s that is currently on the National Register of Historic Places. It was first brought to my attention by Only in Your State where they mentioned the recently reopened building looks like it came right out of a fairy tale. First, this castle is a Bed & Breakfast now that I want to stay in ASAP. Also, apparently the current owners bought the building in 2013 and spent about $4 million to design the layout as it is now while also preserving some of the building’s history.

Amsterdam Castle offers 20 different rooms from junior suites to king suites and is apparently the only armory on record to be converted into a private residence. The prices of the rooms vary from $136/night to $219/night for a deluxe king suite. You can find more information on their rates through their website.

There are more pictures on their Facebook page, I just can’t get over how beautiful this building is.
