Update to New Albany Dinner Theater with Regulations
By now, you’ve probably heard about Cosmic Cinemas coming to Albany to replace the Madison Theater but now we have some more information on what you can expect and a little more of a timeline of when as well.
The reason Albany is a buzz about Cosmic Cinemas is because of the rules patrons will have to follow to go to enjoy a movie. Times Union is reporting that Cosmic Cinemas will be an upscale dining dinner theatre which will be banning the use of cell phones, talking, as well as babies in their theatre. Also, anyone under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They will also be opening a location in Hudson in May as their first expansion out of the Carolinas.
There isn’t a ton of information on their website but Cosmic Cinemas’ CEO Terrell Braly explains the concept, saying. “We want to give the mature movie lover the experience of watching a movie the way it was meant to be. We want to provide the very best in an exceptional meal and movie experience without the distractions.”
They will continue to call the theatre “Madison.” It will have four screens, “rocker” seats, and primarily host first-run movies with exceptions of “occasional retrospectives.” They have just finished contract and leasing negotiations so we should expect the theatre within the coming months.
