Schenectady Police Offering Active Shooter Presentations

Regardless of your opinion on gun laws, the discussions surrounding us lately have been about active shooters and what to do. If this is something you’re fearful about, Schenectady is trying to do something to help.

The Schenectady Police Department is reporting to WTEN that they will be hosting two active shooter presentations at Proctors Theatre in the next few weeks. The Schenectady Police has already given similar presentations to schools and local businesses but with the increase in requests, they decided to hold these open presentations.

They will cover the topics of strategies, guidance, and how to overall survive if you’re confronted somewhere with an active shooter. No pre-registration is required, the event is free, and all are welcome to attend. There will be two presentations: Monday, March 19th at Proctors’ GE Theatre from 6:00pm-8:00pm and Sunday, March 25th from 3:00pm-5:00pm on Proctors’ main stage.
