Where one business closes, another business opens. The Trojan Hardware Store closed but in its place something new.
On the corner of Congress and Fourth Streets in Downtown Troy is a new deli and grocery store, Harrison’s Corner Market, according to the Troy Record.
Harrison’s Corner Market will be serving deli-style foods, notably Harrison’s BLT, the Little Italy fried eggplant sandwich (which has my name all over it, by the way), the Congress Street roast beef, and the Cali Turkey. They will also be offering vegan and vegetarian options and desserts will be from Troy’s Butter and Sugar Company. There will be craft beers also from local places like nearby Rare Form. Currently, all menu items are under $11 and the full menu will be available soon. Also, delivery is available through GrubHub.
The market is named after owner Kevin Blodgett’s grandparents Geraldine and Harold Harrison who instilled in Kevin the motto “Work hard, stay humble.”
