Go Back in Time to Christopher Columbus in Albany

When you think about the history of the United States, Christopher Columbus is one of the names I’m sure comes to mind. He was just trying to prove that the Earth was round and he found what would eventually come to be America. If you want to feel what it was like on the Nina, Pinta & Santa Maria, you can this week in Albany!

Starting on Wednesday, replicas of the Nina, Pinta & Santa Maria will be at the Albany Yacht Club in Rensselaer. According to News10 ABC, these three boats are the “most historically correct replicas of the ships ever built.” These boats travel the country as a floating museum to give people the chance to see what it would be like traveling the journey that changed the view of the planet. You’ll be able to see them through the weekend and then they’re off to their next stop on Monday.

The ships are open 9AM-6PM. Adult tickets are $8, seniors $7, students 5-16 $6, and children under 4 are free.
