The Little Free Food Pantry Opens in Schenectady

The turnout on Sunday was apparently incredible. Looking for a place to donate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? Come to Schenectady!

The Little Free Food Pantry is now open in Schenectady. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the pantry doesn’t just stop at food. People can donate and take anything they may need. Have you ever heard of the Little Free Libraries? That’s what the idea is based on. Little Free Libraries are little boxes that you can find around the Capital Region (and nationwide) full of books. If you see one, you can take a book for no charge, with the hopes that you either return that book or replace it with another but technically you don’t have to.

The Little Free Food Pantry is similar. Take what you need, donate what you think could be used by someone else. They’re currently looking for non-perishable items and food that won’t be ruined by the warm weather. Donate at the Bellevue Reformed Church at 2000 Broadway, Schenectady.
