I’ve gone to a few Electric City Couture shows in the past and love how they find up and coming designers to show off their latest collections. If you’re interested in fashion and never experienced one of their shows, they have one coming up.
Electric City Couture presents IDENTITY show on July 8th at the New York State Museum. The show will feature a mix of 4 established and up and coming fashion designers and 35 models and how fashion explores one’s identity. The designers include: Meg Kluball (Clifton Park), PopImpressKA by Olga Papkovitch (Manhattan), Marjolaine’s Touch by Marjolaine Arsnault (North Creek), and Adam Van Buren (Albany).
Electric City Couture is also partnering with Upstate Alliance for the Creative Economy (ACE) to introduce FASHION UPSTATE. Their purpose, according to the release, is “to create opportunities for established and aspiring fashion professionals to work together in support of fashion-based industry that can provide meaningful employment and resource opportunities in the Capital Region.”
If you see something you like, you can buy from the designers at the POP UP! Shop immediately following the event.
