I’m going to be honest, I don’t watch Game of Thrones but hear me out. I know I’m going to love it. I’m balancing so many things right now that I just don’t have the time to invest into something I know I have no time to watch. No matter, a star of the hit show is going to be filming a movie right here in Albany.
“Departures” is a film featuring Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Asa Butterfield (Ender’s Game). It was confirmed by Albany Film Commissioner as well as the Times Union that these two actresses will be at the Albany International Airport filming. Most of the film will be filmed in the Hudson Valley but they’re making their way to the Capital Region for a bit of the movie.
The movie is about “a hypochondriac working as an airport baggage handler (who) is forced to confront his fears when a British teenager with a terminal illness enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list.” No specific details yet as to when exactly they’ll be at the airport just sometime this week.
