” Golf is so popular simply because it is the best game in the world at which to be bad.”

A.A. Milne

EDIT: Glow Golf is now closed.

If you read my blog, you know I’m all for online coupons. I figure that if I want to try something out, what’s better than getting it for a deal? I’ve walked through Crossgates Mall a bunch of times and every time I walked past Glow Golf, it looked pretty cool so when there was a Living Social deal for only $8 for two people to do three rounds I figured why not give it a try. I have to admit, the place was pretty empty and during our time there, there was only one other group that came through. Total there are 36 holes, broken up into two sections of 18 each. We ended up only doing one round of the room because 3 rounds would have been not only time-consuming but not really entertaining any more; 36 holes was plenty!

Overall, it was a pretty cool experience. It was interesting being in the dark and having everything light up around us. I do have to say that though we enjoyed each other’s company, I think it would be more enjoyable to children than us twenty-somethings that gave it a try. If you like mini-golf, give it a try, it’s something different to do on a date or with your friends when there’s nothing to do, especially with the weather getting colder. Now that I’ve done it, I could see myself doing it if I’m bored one afternoon during Winter but nothing that I’m going to rush back and play every weekend. Try it out, let me know what you think.
