There is always so much going on in this area that I tend to forget that we have so many great places in quick driving distance that host great shows. If you’re not familiar with his music, Steve Aoki has remixed with many top-40 artists that you do know like Kanye West, Drake, Eminem and LMFAO. He will be performing alongside Mat Zo, DSK CHK and  local DJ DVDJ Dread and host DJ Davey D. DVDJ Dread usually preforms at Sights and Sounds at Vapor in Saratoga as well as other local clubs.

Steve Aoki is technically classified as EDM or electronic dance music, a genre of music that is quickly becoming more mainstream and stepping out from the walls of nightclubs. EDM is a fusion of house music, disco music, trance music, and techno music. Recent award shows like the American Music Awards have created categories and welcomed musical guests from EDM, the first EDM award went to David Guetta who is known for his top-40 hits.

If you’re a fan of EDM then you need to take the trip to Turning Stone to check out the Winter White Tour. Turning Stone is only about 2 hours away so show up early, gamble a little and enjoy the show at night. Make a day of it!
